Wide Open Ocean

Our day was beautiful and the seas were nice and calm. The boat was really great - lots of space to walk around outside to see the amazing amount of wildlife.

Cruisin' near Holgate

We saw a tour boat go by on the far side of a bay - totally dwarfed by the magnitude of these mountains. This was an early trip so lots of snow with spring avalanches coming down. On the other side of the boat, mountain goats and black bears were getting

Puffin in Flight

We saw lots of puffins on our way back from Holgate Glacier.

Whale Tail

This humpback put on a show for us off of Aialik Cape.

Orca - a big male

This guy came right at our boat, then turned on its side and glided right under the boat.

Northwestern Glacier

We took the big trip back to the Northwestern Fjord glacier. The day started off on the rainy side, but it cleared up around the glacier and it was spectacular!

Evening at Fox Island

We had a bunch of family at Fox Island and had a blast. Love those evening beach fires!

Breaching Humpback Whale

I have no idea how much this whale weighed. I heard the Captain telling us there was a whale on the starboard, but I wasn't at all prepared to see this! I grabbed my camera and got this shot off just before the whale plunged below the surface. The splash
